Privacy Policy

Pakisnap ("we", "us", "our") is an online classified-ads marketplace operated by Coder Logistics, Pakistan. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have. By using Pakisnap you agree to this policy.

1. Information you give us

• Account details — your name, email address, phone number, city, and optionally a profile photo and short bio. Passwords are stored only as a one-way encrypted hash, so we cannot read them.
• Your listings — titles, descriptions, prices, categories, photos, optional voice recordings and short videos, and the city or area you choose to display.
• Your communications — messages, price offers, comments and reviews you send through the platform, and any support tickets you open.

2. Google Sign-In and Google user data

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address and profile picture from your Google account. We never receive your Google password, and we cannot read your Gmail, Drive, Contacts or any other Google service.

We use this information solely to create and sign you in to your Pakisnap account. We do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to anyone else except the service providers described in section 7 who help us operate the platform.

Pakisnap's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke Pakisnap's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. You may also delete your Pakisnap account from your dashboard, which removes the connection and your profile data.

3. Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages viewed, searches performed, and listings you open.
• Device and connection data — IP address, browser type, and approximate location (city and country) derived from your IP address.
• A random visitor identifier stored in your browser to recognise repeat visits. It is not linked to your identity unless you are signed in.
• Interests — the categories you browse are stored only in your own browser to order what you see. This information never leaves your device.

4. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account
• To publish your listings and show them to relevant buyers
• To deliver messages, offers and notifications between users
• To show local and relevant listings first
• To process payments for optional paid promotions
• To measure how many people saw or clicked a promoted advertisement
• To detect fraud, spam and abuse, and to enforce our Terms
• To respond to your support requests
• To send service notifications, and marketing messages where permitted

5. Payments

Payments for paid promotions are handled by third-party providers such as JazzCash, Easypaisa or PayFast. Card and wallet details are entered on the payment provider's own secure page and never pass through or get stored on our servers. We retain only a transaction reference, amount, status and date.

6. Voice calls

Calls made through the site connect directly between the two participants' browsers. We do not record, listen to, or store call audio. We store only the fact that a call took place and how long it lasted.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Other users, where you choose to share it — your public profile, listings, comments and reviews, and messages you send.
• Service providers who help us operate the platform: hosting, email delivery, SMS and WhatsApp messaging, payment processing, and IP-location lookup.
• Authorities, where required by law or court order, or to investigate fraud, safety concerns, or a violation of our Terms.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as your currency, and measure site usage. Blocking them may prevent parts of the site from working.

9. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Listings, messages and transaction records are retained while they remain relevant to the service, or as required for legal, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Analytics records are automatically deleted after 12 months.

10. Your choices and rights

• Access and correction — view and edit your details in your dashboard at any time.
• Delete your account — available in your profile settings. Some records, such as transaction history, may be retained where the law requires.
• Notifications — email and push notifications can be switched off in your settings.
• Location — you may refuse browser location access; we then estimate your general area from your IP address only.

11. Security

We protect your data using encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and encrypted storage of sensitive configuration. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Content and conduct of users

Pakisnap is a venue that connects buyers and sellers. Listings, messages, comments and other content are created by users, not by us.

We do not verify users, listings, or the accuracy of information posted, and we are not a party to any transaction between users. Any information you choose to share publicly or with another user — including your phone number, address or meeting location — is shared at your own risk. We are not liable for the conduct of any user, for loss or damage arising from dealings between users, or for content that users post.

13. Third-party links

Our service may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

14. Children

Pakisnap is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Pakisnap and Coder Logistics shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or business, arising from your use of the service — including unauthorised access to your data by third parties, or the acts or omissions of other users.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will change, and continued use of the service means you accept the revised policy.
